About the Pharos

The Pharos is the student newspaper at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Students in the Communication Department contribute to its publication multiple times per year. The newspaper takes its name from the Pharos of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. This lighthouse served as a source of illumination in darkness. The Pharos at WVWC also enlighten and explain current topics that deserve our attention within the local community and the world.
