Have you ever wondered which local restaurants offer discounts to students or faculty at West Virginia Wesleyan College? 

Many restaurants in Buckhannon offer these discounts, and many college students do not know which ones do and which ones do not. Wesleyan also has Bobcat Discount Cards, which offer students discounts to restaurants and other local businesses. Out of all of the restaurants in Buckhannon,  between fifteen and twenty will be interviewed about these potential discounts. Pizza Hut, Buffalo Wild Wings, Subway, Whistle Stop Bar and Grill, Mama Roma, Tudor’s Biscuit World, Stonetower Brews, Las Trancas, Don Patron, McDonald’s, Sam’s Pizza, and Fish Hawk Acres are some of the restaurants that will be mentioned in this article.

General manager Karen Claypool of Pizza Hut says they offer a ten percent discount if you provide your student ID. One of the managers at Buffalo Wild Wings said they do “Wesleyan Wednesdays,” where they offer a ten percent discount to students if they have a valid student ID. A manger at Whistle Stop Bar and Grill offers twenty percent off to Wesleyan students and staff on Wednesdays with proper identification. 

A team member at Stonetower Brews, a coffee shop in Buckhannon, West Virginia, says they offer ten percent discounts to students and faculty on Wednesdays. Sam’s Pizza offers an eight-dollar large one-topping pizza with the Bobcat Discount Card and a valid student ID. Subway, both in Walmart and in Tennerton, gives students ten percent off. Las Trancas offers ten percent off, excluding alcohol. Don Patron offers the same discount. Tudor’s Biscuit World has a ten percent discount for students on the Bobcat Discount Card.  Moma Roma offers a discount of ten percent off to students at West Virginia Wesleyan College. 

McDonald’s gives students ten percent off with a valid student ID. Fox’s Pizza offers students fifteen percent off purchases. Dairy Queen, although they are only open seasonally, Spring and Summer, offers ten percent off to students at Wesleyan. Fish Hawk Acres, a cafe that also offers catering in Buckhannon, gives students at West Virginia Wesleyan College a ten percent discount.

Although so many restaurants in Buckhannon offer discounts to students and/or faculty of West Virginia Wesleyan College, you will not be able to take advantage of these benefits if you cannot provide proper identification that proves you are associated with the college.
