As graduation nears, seniors are cherishing their final college memories. Here’s a five-item bucket list to help make the most of the last semester before the big walk in the spring.
Show Off Your Bobcat Pride and Attend a Sporting Event
If you missed the fall football season and the excitement under the new stadium lights, there is still time to cheer on your fellow Bobcat athletes. From winter basketball games in the Rockefeller Center to baseball and softball doubleheaders in the spring – showing school spirit is a great way to end your college career on a high note. Add energy to the crowd, get rowdy, and make memories.
Take Part in a Bobcat Entertainment Event
Whether it’s trivia night, big bingo, or free movie Friday, Bobcat Entertainment always brings the fun to campus. Their events are the ultimate way to relax and connect with classmates, often involving a little competition. Grab some friends, some random items for “bring-it bingo,” and get ready for the fun.
Watch or Participate in Spring Sing
Spring Sing is one of Wesleyan’s most beloved traditions. Whether you are performing or cheering from the audience, it is a creative celebration of community. Come prepared to sing along with this year’s back to the 80s theme!
“The amount of time, energy, and effort that everyone puts in to prepare for Spring Sing is something that makes the energy so electric. You get to see so much individuality, have a laugh, and bond with the Wesleyan community. I think what makes it so special is everyone rooting for each other, including alumni that return, which is a testament to the closeness of our campus,” shares Faith Yoho, as she reflects on what makes Spring Sing such a special event for seniors and underclassmen alike.
Attend Late Night Breakfast
As a final’s week staple, the late-night breakfast in the dining hall is the perfect way to recharge and grab a bite to eat for those last exams. Who doesn’t love pancakes and bacon at midnight? Spend some time with friends and make sure to reflect on the semester that’s coming to a close.
Partake in the Bar Crawl
The annual senior bar crawl takes you around staples of not only the college, but also small-town Buckhannon. Visiting locations such as Moonflower, the Whistle, and hopefully the K Lounge’s new location, seniors can reflect on memories with peers and professors alike.
College goes by in the blink of an eye, so make sure to take time to enjoy the little moments. Before you know it, you’ll be reminiscing on the good ol’ days. Use the last few months to make memories that will last long after graduation day.
