I will explore the history of Marvel movies, tracing their evolution from early releases to the present, while also highlighting the most recent projects that have been released or are set to debut soon.
Marvel’s history is a long and winding road over the course of many decades, from early adaptations to the present-day blockbuster Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) we have today. A few of the most notable Marvel films include Captain America (1944), a Republic Pictures black-and-white serial; X-Men (2000), which helped launch the modern superhero renaissance; and Iron Man (2008), the inaugural MCU film, starring Robert Downey Jr., that laid the groundwork for the interconnected universe to come. The Marvel movies have spanned multiple franchises, studios, and cinematic universes, and also all the Marvel movies have superheroes like X-Men, Captain America, Iron Man, and Hulk.
I recently interviewed Marquis Phifer about his favorite Marvel movies and his latest project. When asked about his top pick, he shared, “My favorite Marvel movie of all time has to be Avengers: Infinity War because it delivered incredible action, powerful emotional moments, and an intense ending that left a lasting impact.”
“I really liked Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 because it had a fun, engaging story, memorable character moments, and a heartfelt conclusion for the team,” Phifer said.
The second person I interviewed was Raphael Manning, and we discussed his favorite Marvel movies and his latest project. When I asked him about his top pick, “My favorite Marvel movie of all time is Black Panther because it’s an amazing film with emotional moments and an incredible cast,” Manning said.
As for the most recent Marvel movie that Manning watched, “It’s Kraven the Hunter because it’s the best Marvel movie out right now. Kraven does flips and the acting in the movie is really impressive.”
The third person I interviewed was Jordan Heyward, and we discussed his favorite Marvel movies and his latest project. When I asked him about his top pick, “My favorite is Deadpool because of his humor. His witty one-liners, fourth wall breaks, and over-the-top antics make him one of the most entertaining anti-heroes. Plus, his regenerative healing and combat skills make him just as formidable as he is funny,” Heyward said.
Thor Love and Thunder is the most recent Marvel movie that Heyward has watched. Its witty one-liners, fourth wall breaks, and over-the-top antics make it one of the most entertaining Marvel films.
