Mark your calendar Bobcats, there are only 41 days till the end of the semester!
As the holiday season approaches quickly, our campus is filled with excitement, and a variety of events are planned to celebrate the spirit of the season. As we prepare for the end of the fall semester what students be doing with their time off during the holiday break.
Bobcat Entertainment will be hosting one of the student’s favorite campus activities. Big Bingo will be hosted before Thanksgiving break this year. The event will be on November 16th at 8:00 pm in the French A. See Dining Center.
As final exams approach, so does the Late Night Breakfast and Candy Bar. students should stop and take a well-deserved break. The late-night breakfast and candy bar will be on Reading Day Which will be on December 5th at 10:00 pm in the French A. See Dining Center. The Bobcat and Santa will be at the late-night breakfast to spread some holiday cheer.
On Reading Day Staff from Campus Life will be handing out free muffins throughout the day to students who are studying in the library
At 4:00 PM on November 17th, located at Wesley Chapel the annual festival of carols and tree lighting ceremony. The campus community will sing Christmas carols and light the Christmas tree which signifies the start of the holiday season for WVWC.
As the campus will soon close for the break students will be on a break for a few weeks to see what they have planned for the holidays.
Student Bethani Rucker will be graduating this December and graduating is bittersweet for her. She is excited to start the next chapter of her life but will miss her friends at WVWC. She said that her friends were a big part of her life while she attended WVWC and will miss them. After Graduation, she will be in Miami Florida for the Rolling Loud concert then go to Virginia Beach to see her family where she will spend the remainder of the holiday break.
Student Kiylei Holloway will spend the first week of the break with a friend in NYC she will also go home to see her family in Pittsburgh and will go on a ski trip to Killington Vermont. Kylie said she is excited for a break from school and ready for her upcoming trips
The campus will be closed to students from December 10th through January 12th. We hope everyone has a restful break and we will see you in 2025!
