Main Street in Buckhannon, West Virginia, offers a charming small-town atmosphere with historic buildings, local shops, and eateries, including boutiques and coffee shops, all within walking distance of campus.

Mountain Chic Boutique provides a stylish collection of women’s clothing. You’ll find everything from comfortable tops and chic dresses to stylish outerwear and cozy sweaters. The shop combines a cozy, rustic vibe with trendy fashion, making it a favorite for both locals and visitors. Their accessories like jewelry, handbags, and scarves complement the clothing, adding to the overall mountain-inspired vibe.

Another boutique on Main Street is Caroline & Co. The boutique features a mix of trendy and classic styles, catering to various tastes. You’ll find everything from clothing and jewelry to unique gifts and seasonal items. They emit a warm and inviting vibe that reflects the charm of a small-town boutique. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, making it a welcoming space for shoppers.

Artistry on Main is a vibrant art gallery and studio that showcases the work of local artists. The space showcases a wide collection of artworks, including pottery, paintings, and handcrafted products. With their focus to support local talent, Artistry on Main serves as both a gallery and a hub for art enthusiasts and visitors looking to engage with the local art scene. 

A community favorite located on Main Street is Stone Tower Brews. Stone Tower Brews is a craft brewery known for its selection of house-brewed beers. Along with beer they offer a variety of drinks including teas, coffees, with a wide selection of food to choose from. Because of its relaxing atmosphere, it is a popular place for students and others to sit and work while enjoying coffee. 

Argo Bookstore is an independent bookstore that offers a selection of new and used books across various genres. They often host events such as author readings, book clubs, and community gatherings, fostering a love for literature and a sense of community among readers. The store also features gifts, stationery, and local art. 

“One of my favorite attractions on Main Street is easily Stone Tower Brews. Everything on their menu is 10/10, especially their coffee. My go-to order is a dirty chai with cold foam and then a pastry of some sort as well!” Madelyn Armstrong said, a fellow student at WVWC.
