Get ready because BuckhannO’ween is back! This year’s event is going to be an unforgettable Halloween extravaganza for all families and community members. Whether you like the scary costumes, delicious food, or fun Halloween games, The Stockert Youth Center has something for you and your family.
On October 19th from 10 am to 5 pm the Stockert Youth Center will be hosting BuckhannO’ween, a day packed with festive activities. This event will offer a range of mini-games, reminiscent of traditional carnival games, offering games to both kids and adults. From ring-toss to the duck-pond there will be many opportunities to win fun prizes. A horror movie trivia contest will test the knowledge of the more mature attendees. And when you’re ready for a bite to eat, an array of food trucks will be parked outside, offering a delicious range of options to satisfy every craving. According to Stacey Earls, who is in charge of this event says, “This year we are so excited to have a local aerialist performing. As well as Big Marv’s cafe from St. Albans WV.”
Not only will you be able to play fun family games, eat amazing food, and enjoy all the Halloween festivities there will also be a costume contest. This costume contest is highly anticipated by everyone, this will give participants a chance to show off their Halloween creativity. Whether you’re going for scary, funny, or downright original, make sure to come dressed in your best costume for a chance to win prizes.
Earls says, “BuckhannO’ween started two years ago as a fundraiser for Buckhannacon. Which is a pop culture convention held in Buckhannon. But has since taken on a life of its own.”
There will also be a designated photo area for you and your family to capture your special moment. Decorated in true Halloween fashion, the photo station will provide the perfect backdrop to show off your costumes and make lasting memories.
The ticket prices for this event are as follows: $5 for all adults, $2 for ages 6-12, free for children 5 and under, and $2 for students with a valid student ID.
BuckhannO’ween is just more than a Halloween party, it’s a celebration of community and family fun. The Stockert Youth Center would love to invite everyone in the community to this event. It’s a good way to enjoy friends, family, fun games, and good food. Whether you are in it for the prizes, costumes, or just simply for the Halloween festivities there is something for everyone.
