Eden Reynolds is twenty-one years old and is a Physics major with a Mathematics minor. She is originally from Cross Lanes, West Virginia, and her journey to becoming a Bobcat started in 2020 when she was named the Metro-News Scholar. She has also been highly involved on campus as a sister of Alpha Delta Pi, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, and a former student ambassador. She believes that Wesleyan has consistently challenged her to reach her highest potential.
Eden believes that the physics department has strongly contributed to her preparedness for professional success. She says, “The physics department challenged me academically, and they wired my brain to articulate physics through the language of mathematics and theory in preparation for the professional level.” She also is incredibly thankful for the faculty and staff within the department. She shared, “I will greatly miss spending my days in lectures and labs with Dr. Popson, Dr. Wiest, Dr. Reynolds, and Dr. Delaney. Through the consistent support of my department, I am able to say I will be graduating with my bachelor of arts degree in three years.”
Eden also shared how impactful her time as a sister of Alpha Delta Pi has been. She said, “As a student at West Virginia Wesleyan College, I also sought out campus involvement. I found what I was searching for in the Alpha Delta Pi Gamma Kappa Chapter in the spring of 2022. The connections I have made with current alumni and sisters are a bond I am very proud to be associated with. These women encouraged me to keep persevering and growing through every matter I faced as a young adult transitioning from codependency to an independent lifestyle.”
She holds a lot of love for the college saying, “I hope everyone on campus recognizes how blessed we are to be at this school with such a caring and involved faculty. I want to thank my class, professors, friends, and people who I had indirect relationships with as well for making such a positive impact on my college experience.”
Eden will graduate and will officially cross the Orange Line this May. We would like to wish her well in all of her future endeavors.
