Bobcat Entertainment released the spring schedule to the Wesleyan campus.
Bobcat Entertainment is a Wesleyan student organization run by students who plan campus events for students. Students in Bobcat Entertainment meet as a group every 2 weeks to plan events for the Wesleyan students. Bobcat Entertainment spends weeks planning campus
events as they want them to be as fun and exciting as possible.
Any student is welcome to join Bobcat Entertainment, all they need to do is just show up to the meetings. Bobcat Entertainment is constantly recruiting new students as there is always a need for student workers at campus events.
At the end of the fall semester, The director of Bobcat Entertainment left. While Wesleyan was searching to find a new director Alisa Lively stepped in to help out as she wanted to make Bobcat entertainment as useful as possible while the school was in the hiring process. Whitcomb was hired as the new director. Whitcomb says she is excited to work with Bobcat Entertainment and plan amazing events for the students.` Since Whitcomb has come to work with Bobcat Entertainment she has created new event ideas.
On the last day of classes, Bobcat Entertainment will host a spring carnival with inflatables, laser tag, yard games, and possibly a campus favorite Zuls lemonade truck. A spring carnival is a new event and they hope it is useful so it can be hosted again next year. New events have been planned for the fall semester of 2021, including a casino night, The Price is Right event, and the amazing race scavenger hunt. Many years ago Weslyean hosted these events for students which many students loved. Bobcat Entertainment has decided to return these events as they have not been hosted in years.
Some of the Wesleyan students’ favorite events are free movie Friday, stuff a buddy, the annual Spring Sing, and Big Bingo. Bingo is the Wesleyan students’ favorite event. Students can win gift cards, laptops, Apple watches, gift cards, and even cash. Maddie Grose, a Member of Bobcat Entertainment says that her favorite event is Free Movie Friday. Free Movie Friday is where students go to Upshur Cinema 6 in Buckhannon once a month and get to watch any 9 pm or later showing of their choice. Bobcat Entertainment is always searching for new events to host on campus. If you have any suggestions for new events or events you would like to see, reach out to the Campus Life Office on the second floor of the Benedum Campus Center.
