West Virginia Wesleyan College has a lot to offer in the winter season to students. Such as mens and womens sports and bobcat entertainment activities. 

West Virginia Wesleyan holds a seat right in the middle of Upshur County in Buckhannon, West Virginia. If you are familiar with Buckhannon you know that there isn’t much to do outside of campus besides visiting the local stores or going to other cities in West Virginia. Buckhannon is a small little town that has a small population so Wesleyan provides for the community. 

During the winter season Wesleyan has Intramural sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, Dodgeball and flag football. Right there alone are four sport activities that people such as Bobcat students can participate in to engage with people and teams that can  also be mixed genders. West Virginia Wesleyan wants students to go to student organizations and parties to meet new people and create relationships. By doing this, these people will grow students and as people.

Bobcat Entertainment and WVWC Outdoor Rec are West Virginia Wesleyan favorites. Students participate in these events and programs all the time. Each program is funded through the school and trips are always very nice and full of excitement and memories. Last year Bobcat Entertainment took a few trips that were worth the wait. Many students had a blast by going skiing and tubing for back to back weeks. Another trip that was highly favorable was rock climbing and adventures at The New River Gorge. All these outdoor activities are what make the winter season very fun. 

Wesleyan’s Performing Arts club does a lot for the community during the winter season as well. Shows, Plays and Musicals are performed in one of two theaters on campus. Professor Greg Mach has an upcoming show December 1st-3rd.   

Besides the Sports and Bobcat Entertainment there’s also a lot of different clubs that students can join on campus. WeLead, BSU, Theatre, Arts etc,. West Virginia Wesleyan College has a lot to offer to students in winter time.
