Stone Tower – Buckhannons Most Popular Hit

Whether you’re looking for a place to study, to enjoy a delicious meal, or even to get together to hangout with friends, Stone Tower Brews is the place to be.

Located on 5 East Main Street in our lovely town of Buckhannon, West Virginia, is a coffee shop that strives for success in everything. Serving the best West Virginia has to offer in aspects of food, art, craft beer, community, and of course coffee! It has become quite the hot commodity in our town and is a new hot spot for the students on campus here at West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Aspects of Stone Tower that make it so great are the individuals who work there who always make a positive influence on the shop itself, as well as the customers who come in to join in on the food, drinks, and fun! One of their employees who takes charge towards a lot of these implementations is Bryer Ketterman, a student here at WVWC.

Ketterman takes pride in the work that he does each day knowing that everything he is doing is not only good for the students at West Virginia Wesleyan College, but for spicing up the community as well, adding to and engaging with the community as a whole.

“It has allowed me to make a lot of connections with students and I’ve seen a lot of people within my classes who come to the shop which can sometimes make important connections,” Ketterman said. “A majority of our employees are students at Wesleyan, either part or full time.”

Stone Tower Brews also offers comfortable seating inside as well as outside, and displays themes across all of their selling points from the music they play in the shop to the decorative themes that make up the shop during the different seasons of the year. Other themes can be seen in their daily specialty food items, coffee’s such as their latte’s, and even with their employees who dress up to further sell their specific theme.

“It seems almost like an annual thing we do each week to bring in customers, adding different food, drink, and decorative items to bring the shop to life.” Ketterman said. “Every season we alter the drinks based on that season and then follow the rest of the decorations and design the theme around a lot of the seasonal items.”

Recent themes that Stone Tower has done include a “Stranger Things” theme for halloween, a “House of Dragons” theme for their new television series, as well as a festive fall theme of pumpkins galore.

Pushing and striving for success, it is exciting to see where this little shop in our home among the hills will take root and grow into something spectacular.
