Most students will tell you that West Virginia Wesleyan College is a great college to attend. Wesleyan is more known for academics and is slowly rising with renovated facilities. West Virginia Wesleyan has started with renovating McCuskey Hall, a residence hall and home of the Art Department and the Sleeth Gallery.

The school is off to a good start, but one thing that will change incoming students’ perspective on Wesleyan is the athletic facilities. One thing about Wesleyan is there are 666 student-athletes at Wesleyan and there could be way more just by changing the athletic facilities. 

One reason why is because a lot of athletes, when getting recruited, look at more of the facilities than the program. Having renovations on the facilities could change the program by bringing in more athletes and can change conferences by upgrading to a higher division. 

Wesleyan can change and will change eventually for all programs if they keep taking the steps that they are taking now. Having better facilities will also help with keeping athletes in a safe environment, not only for athletes but for people who support the college, as well as coaches. Nice facilities are what can really define a program and this can also attract coaches.

There are always coaches looking for new job opportunities for sports. This can bring in those kinds of highly known coaches from across the country from new facilities. And having those kinds of coaches can help a team win more games because of their game plan from high levels before.
