Holidays are a time for loved ones to come together and be thankful that we all get to come together on one day as a whole to celebrate love, togetherness, peace, and solidarity. The holidays to others means shopping. Shopping is a big tradition to the holidays and with thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner the holidays just seem to get a little crazier. When we take hot deals and things we have been waiting to get, we get long lines and crowds of people from all over. Savings are important this holiday season because the price range for most of the kids Christmas list items are now being hit hard with heavier wages due to the recent start of the pandemic with Covid-19. We can not only save this holiday season by using coupons and saving an extra dollar, but we can save by beating the rush, using curbside pickups, ordering by mail, waking up early to get there before the rush, and allowing time to be able to walk and browse comfortably even when at check out by using the self-checkout process.

We can save this holiday by going out and supporting our small businesses with our money and allowing them to be able to benefit off of our consumption of goods. It’s best to start shopping before the December months and not get caught up in the chaos that comes with being a last minute shopper. Have a list in mind of where you want to go. Wake up early and be active on how you’ll navigate your day and make it through the holidays on a budget. Know where you want to go and how you’ll spend money at that particular store. So have a plan, wake up early, spend what is necessary, use self-checkout, use small business, order online, only have a small amount and spend when needed.
